Which base do I need for my promotional flag?

Where the flag goes

• Lastre base clásico — the one we suggest by default: a fillable plastic base like a parasol's, cheap, light to carry, for indoors and outdoors. Filled with water it becomes heavy and stable; the pole slides in and a screw chuck grips it.
• Base low profile 4kg and 8kg, Cruce base — flat steel bases with a fixed pin, for floors and paving. The flag turns on the pin with a little friction.
• tornillo de tierra — for soft, loose ground, sand or snow.
• Estaca de tierra — for hard, compact ground or packed snow; hammered in.
• Soporte de suelo — screwed to the floor with four screws: the wind cannot move it. For installations that stay.
• Soporte de pared — screwed to a wall; the flag comes out at an angle.
• distancia entre ejes — a metal tube you drive one wheel of the car onto: the flag stands beside the vehicle. Ideal for car dealers and street vendors.

To make it steadier, or freer

• Lastre de arena y Lastre de agua — a weight to lay on a square or cross base when you want more stability, at the seaside for example. Same job, filled with sand or with water.
• Rotor — fitted on a square base, it lets the flag turn freely through 360° in the lightest breeze. It can also be bought alone and fixed to a railing.

Viento fuerte

Lastre de base para viento fuerte y Palo para viento fuerte are a line of their own for permanent or semi-permanent installations: a very tall pole and a large base that, filled with sand or even concrete, stays out for ever — a flagpole without digging or anchoring. Its flag is not on the site yet.

Whatever the base, check with your municipality: in some places an advertising flag needs a permit or is subject to a local tax.
