The top 10 worst flags in the world
In 2016 Jack and his friend Erik Hoffstad, the "Top 10 Boys", sat down to rank the ten worst flags on the planet. It takes about four minutes, and it is entirely tongue-in-cheek.
Fixing your flags
A few months later Jack went one step further: he asked his viewers to redesign American state flags, and reviewed the results in "Fixing Your Flags". Some of the fixes are clever, some are pure nonsense, most are very funny.
Why flags make such easy targets
A flag has to be simple enough to recognise at a glance, and meaningful enough to stand for a whole country. When a design tries to say too much, with seals, mottos and tiny details, it becomes an easy joke.
The videos are in English, and they are comedy, not vexillology. But they are a fun reminder that designing a good flag is harder than it looks.
